The third event in the Asian Poker Tour started in January 2009, and with three poker events already under its belt, its popularity is growing across the world. With two of the APT events held in the Philippines, and one in Macau, the tour has some influential support from poker rooms and networks, including Titan poker, the iPoker Network, the Microgaming Network, and the National Poker tournament. The latest APT tournament was held in the Philipipines, and ran from the 27th January 2009 until the 1st Feb 2009. Around 262 players took part in the event, with a buy-in of $2500+$200 entry fee, and a total prize pool of $635,500.

Winners in the Philippines were as follows:
1st: Neil Arce, winning $185,000.
2nd: Steve Yea, winning $ 100,000.

News:
The next leg of the APT will be held in Macau, at the Galaxy Star World Hotel and Casino. Starting in August, it will be held for an extended 12 days, and you can follow all the action on the Dozen News page.
