The European Poker Tour, EPT, is sponsored by PokerStars and has been running since 2004. With tournaments held across Europe, and live television coverage, this is rapidly growing into one of the most popular poker events.

Victoria Casino, London, England
Sofitel Hotel, Budapest, Hungary
Hyatt Regency, Warsaw, Poland
Hilton Hotel, Prague, Czech republic

Plus legs in France, Denmark, Germany, Italy and Monaco.

Grading the event descriptions and coverage on the site..
Running from September to April/May, the EPT is sponsored by PokerStars online poker room, home to over 20 million players from across the world. The executive producer of the EPT is John Duthie, a former pro player, and Thomas Kremser is the  tour's Official Director.
Qualification:

Though you can just buy your way into the EPT, the best way to qualify is through playing tournaments online at PokerStars.com and earning yourself frequent player points (FPP).

This parameter looks at the level of stars and big name poker players..

In the latest season of the EPT, 27-year-old Sandra Naujoks elevated herself from online poker events player to an EPT winner, taking the German leg in Dortmund. She was only the second woman to take an EPT title. Another PokerStars progidy, Jens Kyllonen, had surprise success in Copenhagen, taking home over $1 million.

News:
The last leg of the tour was held at the Monte Carlo Casino. with Dutchman Pieter de Korver taking the last title. Prize money this season was the highest in EPT history.
