Do we really need a women's poker event? Is the discrimination really worth the undeniable compromise ? LIPS seem to think so, but we are not convinced.

The Ladies International Poker Series, LIPS (how cute), is, as its name suggests, exclusively for women. We at Dozen think that rather than creating separate events for women, possibly alienating them further, why not invest in encouraging them to take part in the main events, where competition and prize money are undeniably so much better? However, winning the satellite does qualify you to take part in the LIPS championship.
