The UK is home to some of the best poker players, and London is one of the most buzzing cities in the world. Wassonline, however, still managed to stage a rubbish tournament with no penash whatsoever, and didn't even secure a venue in London itself.

The Wassonline Poker Community stages several poker events across the UK, the last of which was held in a depressing town outside of London in 2008. Organised by Gary Amess, buy-ins were only £20, which resulted in a meagre prize pool of £1100.

We use the term prize money loosely here, with such a stingy pot on offer. Tommy Morgan ended up taking the Bounty event as well as the Main Online Poker Event, with Nick Burton and Andy Murray coming in second and third respectively. What did they win, a packet of crisps?

I was just wondering if anyone from here attended the event. I've been looking for some events in the UK to go to and after reading this review its kind of put me off. So is it from first hand experience or just hearsay?
