Initially Huck took part in small tournaments and tried to hone his skills. In the year 1996 he shocked every one by wining WSOP main event with cash prize worth $1000, 000. As an engineering student he took leave from college for some time but did not enter in to the college again. His passion of playing poker did not let him finish his studies though made him famous. He is the winner of WSOP main event for four times. Recently he got success in NBC championship.
