Poker King is an attractive poker portal, with good graphics and a simple layout. The home page is dominated by poker news, but there are separate tabs for bonuses and blogs, making the site easy to navigate. However, Poker King lets itself down by its limited range of content, and as the site is only available inEnglish with a few pages in Spanish, it is not very user-friendly.

In this parameter one of the most important parts of the portal (the poker rooms reviews) have been graded..

You might initially think that there aren't any reviews of online poker rooms on Poker King, but misleadingly, you have to visit the blogs tab, and then 'Promotions' to reach them.

It's not really worth the effort, as only the 'big 5' rooms are covered, and as the reviews are geared around the bonuses on offer there, they are really only operating asfurther advertising for the operators. You will struggle to find hard facts, clear direction or impartiality on this portal.

Again, if its stats you're after, this is not the place for you. There are also no links to live games, or any clear sense of what is happening now in the live poker world.

It is extraordinary how Poker King expects its visitors to plow through so much written content to find what they are looking for, and I really don't know why they haven't summarised some of the most vital aspects of the game - like tournaments - into accessible, bite-size chunks. Articles on the blogs tab undoubtedly give the reader an insight into how players are getting on in tournaments around the world, so if you are happy just reading (a lot) about other people's experiences, then it's worth a look.

The availability of bonus codes of big poker operators will increase or decrease the scores in this parameter..

This is where Poker King finally comes into its own, with a whole section dedicated to bonuses. Not only are there bonus codes to the big sites, but what is of most value are the articles which analyse these bonuses to determine if they really are as good as they sound, and tell you how to make the most out of them. For once it feels that Poker King is on the side of the player, not just spouting advertising propaganda.

Despite having a section dedicated to blogs, Poker King doesn't have any blogs in the true sense. They are more like articles, as they are not written from the first person perspective, and are postedanonymously so it is impossible to follow one blogger, read other articles by the same person, or have any idea about their online poker portal credentials.Misleading and disappointing.

This is virtually impossible to grade, because Poker King is based almost entirely on editorial opinion, and what with their 'death of the author' attitude, we don't even know who is writing all these articles, let alone where they are getting their facts from.

Although there are plenty of stories up there, Poker King doesn't add a new story every day, so as we have already come to realise, they clearly don't have their finger on the pulse. Full marks for quantity, not so full for quality.
